A HIN (Hull Identification Number) is the boat-specific equivalent of a car's VIN, standardised under AS/NZS 1799 for vessels built or imported into Australia since 1997. Older boats sometimes only have a builder's plate or VIN — we accept all three formats.
Your report will be delivered within 24 hours. Most reports arrive much sooner, but the full window allows time for careful source matching and quality checks.

No. A Boat History Report report is an information check to help you decide whether to buy. You'll still need to complete the official transfer of registration with your state's marine authority once the sale goes ahead.
Yes. Trailers are often registered separately from the boat and carry their own VIN. Run a separate search using the trailer's VIN if one is included in your sale.

Basic suits a quick sanity check before inspecting. Standard is right for most private-sale purchases — it adds the PPSR finance and stolen check. Premium is worth it for imported, high-value or ex-fleet vessels where flood and compliance history matter most.
